The Reverse-Spell Stick - Chapter 1

A long time ago, there lived a beautiful  royal couple named King Heneli and Queen Bev. They were very wealthy and lived in one of the most luxury castles called Zeeta Castle. They were very admired and honoured by the people. Unfortunately, King Heneli was a bit arrogant and grumpy. However, he would still help people, yet he would show off that he could help them. On the other hand, Queen Bev was a very loving and calm person.  She was loved by the women and children. She was so modest that she visited few houses every week to give the people some food and even just for a visit.

There came the day when Queen Bev finally found out that she was pregnant. She rushed to King Heneli while he was sitting and enjoying his evening coffee.
" Honey, I have a very very good news." Queen Bev said.
" Tell me my Queen, what is it ?" asked King Heneli as he put down the cup of coffee.
Queen Bev wrapped her arms around King Heneli's neck and said " We are having a baby. I have checked around 3 times today and it is positive. Can you believe that ? We are finally having a baby!"
" Are you serious ? The Lord has answered our prayer my dear. I am so happy to hear this. I love you so much." surprised King Heneli as he held Queen Bev's hands.

She and King Heneli were so happy that they would finally have a child. King Heneli expected the baby to be a boy so that he could continue his duty someday. People were as excited as them. They could not wait to find out and see the handsome Prince or the beautiful Princess of Zeeta.

Few months later, Queen Bev and King Heneli found out that they were having a baby boy.
" I can not believe that we are really having a baby boy. A prince honey." told King Heneli to his Queen.
" I know, We have to let everyone know and spread the happiness by having a big party to celebrate it." answered Queen Bev.
" I am going to invite all the people and the Zildez couple, King George and Queen Lorsa." said King Heneli.
King Heneli was so happy that he celebrated it with all the people. He also invited his collegues whom was from the Zildez Castle. They were King George and Queen Lorsa.  King George had known King Heneli for years. He was a strict person yet a kind one. As their husbands had a good relation, Queen Bev and Queen Lorsa got along as well. They would like to spend time and do things together.

At that moment, the Zildez couple were having a baby as well. However, they were having a baby girl. King Heneli and King George whom had a good friendship planned to make their children to be close someday so they might get into each other, get married, and continue to make such a brilliant country.
" I am sure that they will make a really beautiful couple." said King George.
" Of course, and they will make this country better as well." replied King Heneli.
Knowing the great idea, the people were so happy and excited but they hoped that the Prince and the Princess would be more humble than their parents now.

The day which was they had been waiting for finally came. Queen Bev gave birth to a baby boy who happened to be named as Prince Morden Heneli. She gave birth in a special room in Zeeta Castle with the help of the best doctor in the country. Beside all the happiness they had, there was this one dissapointment they had. The Zeeta couple were surprised to see that their newborn Prince had a very large birthmark covering his left face. Queen Bev did not have a problem with that. Unfortunately, King Heneli was not so happy about this and immediately denied the baby.
" He is still so beautiful Heneli, he is our miracle so you have to be grateful for him." cried Queen Bev as he held Prince Morden closely.
" But I can not let people know that our son, the prince of Zeeta Castle is actually not as perfect as they expected. He is not going to be a good looking man Bev!" hissed King Heneli angrily.
" I do not care, I am going to keep him. It does not matter of how people will think. You are such an arrogant Heneli!" yelled Queen Bev.
" I am your husband and the King here. What I command will goes. " said King Heneli as he left the room leaving Queen Bev holding Prince Morden dumbfounded.

Journal Three

Days passed by. I have done two journals so far. First journal was the one i wrote when I was told to use a blog as the media of my writing assignments and explained some rules on how to use it and fill it with good writings. My second journal was the one i wrote about improvements I had made since I wrote the first one, also more about how to make a good writing. Finally, I am here again to have my third journal done. I feel like this second semester is passing way too fast than I expected. I even feel like it is going faster than my first. Believe it or not, next month will be the last month of my second semester which means I have my final exam coming up. I got to hang on and keep learning on how to make such a good passage or writing.

All my friends from the upper semesters said that the first and second semester of the university were kind of piece of cakes, totally nothing compared to the other semesters. They said that the war of the university's life will have begun when we entered the third semester which I am going to go through soon. I am so aware of that because I think that these two semesters are not as easy as they said especially in writing and reading. Since I am in writing class now, I am going to talk more about it. With all those statements people said I encouraged my self to learn more on how to write well, preparing my self for the next war I am going to go through. I realize this because I know that in those semesters I will be expected to write more. Hence, I need to have my self well-prepared for it.

So far, I have learnt too many things. I even have done my autobiography and I am glad enough for it. I have tried my best to make it in such a good orders along with good ideas. I wrote it in chronological order and each paragraph had one main idea. Not to mention, I paid good attention on how to use the punctuation marks and the minor mistakes I had such typing "alot" instead of "a lot" as well. These were important things that I had kept in mind when I was writing my middle term exam too. However, I did make a good writing there. Those rules and knowledges which have been taught to me are really useful.

After the middle term exam and have my autobiography done, I was asked to write a passage about a new zodiac. I created a new zodiac called " Chimpan " haha! It went well, and not to forget I wrote it in a good chronological order too. The following task was a text about The International Culture Festival and Celebration. I was expected to recall this event and retell it. It was great and I wrote it in a good way following all the rules I have been taught and I know. I hope I did not make too many mistakes there.

Finally all those things and rules I have been taught and learnt are important for me. They are and will be useful for me in facing the upcoming semesters which perhaps will have a lot more writing assignments. I hope I can do better and well in writing texts. I am trying to have my self well-prepared for probably next complicated writing assignments. I will keep the rules such as making text in cronological order, dividing paragraphs, the use of punctuation marks, minor mistakes on space, in my mind.

First Experience in such First Special Event

International Culture Festival and Celebration was a big first event which was hosted by English Department of Widya Mandala Catholic University Surabaya. It was held on 8th of April 2016. By its name, people would know that it must involved International stuffs. Yup! It was special event that the English Department invited some representatives of many countries to present atleast a cultural sharing or another activities which had to be related with their country. It was such a big celebration because not only the representatives but they also invited hundred of high school students and some people to join and be the audiences. Even some journalists were there too. They were reporting this event because it was special and merry.

We had invited a lot of countries to join the event, but only around 7 countries made it. Those countries were France, Belarus, China, Spain, Netherlands, German, and Indonesia. They had their own booth decorated according their own unique cultures. Those booth were so awesome, they provided a lot of things related to their cultures and also a lot of information about them. For example, in Netherlands' booth I was given some special Holland cheese which tasted different than other cheese I had ever tasted before. It was bitter yet still tasty. In Spain's booth I got to try the taste of bread dipped in an olive and classic oil. Those were their unique cultures and was new for me. I was so glad I got to know those that day as I had never known or got to tasted them before. The France's booth provided some information about cities in France and also a place in Indonesia where we can learn French. Not to forget, Indonesia, my country did also a very good job in serving " Pecel " ,a traditional javanese food. They were all giving us such wonderful new knowledges and information.

It was actually such an honour for me because I was given an opportunity to be the MC in that wonderful event. It was my first time being an MC in front of hundreds of people and also representatives from a lot of countries. I was not alone, I had a partner with me which happened to be William from the 4th semester. I barely knew him. However, during the practices and briefings, we got along and finally built a great connection each other. To be honest, I was really nervous at the first. It was normal because everyone would get jittery on the stage until they got the comfort. Thankfully both I and him did well, we made jokes, entertained people and also tried as much as we could so that people would not get bored. I had a doubt if I did well at first. However, at the end of the event people came to me and gave me so many compliments saying that I did well and they enjoyed the whole event. I was so glad to know I did well and made them happy. It was such a good relief.

Being the MC was really useful for me because it gave me a perfect chance to improve my English speaking and public speaking. Once the representatives were on the stage to present their cultural sharings, I got to interview them a bit. It was not only cultural sharing but they also hadsome other activities and games. The representatives from Spain performed a bit of Salsa dance. We were shown how to do a salsa dance and asked to dance with them which was really fun. Some games were also given by some countries such as German and Netherlands who gave some trivia quiz. Some of the students and audiences were lucky in answering the questions correctly and got some presents. I wish I could get one, but being one of the MCs was a special gift for me already.

Afterall, the event went smoothly wonderful. I was so glad I did well in my MC and also entertaining people. It was so great to know those representatives and also got to know the useful knowledges. Hopefully, next year, this kind of event will be bigger and have more countries and audience coming.

Chimpan as Kind of Sun Sign

Zodiac is the astrology signs people believe that give us characteristics in our life. There are 12 sun signs in the zodiac and each of them have different personalities and characteristics. A sun sign is the sign people get when the sun was passing throughout the time they were born. They believe that the world consists of those 12 groups of people with different sun signs. Some kinds of animals are used to represent the sun signs so that people can easily understand or remember it. They are used that way also because they have something to do with the Greek mythology history.

As we know that those 12 animals have to represent the sun signs, so they are kind of special. These animals are believed that they almost have the same characteristics either in the good sides and the bad or dark sides as well. Perhaps not fully the same but slights or some of them are. People have shark, rabbit, dragon, chimpanzee, goat, lion, crab, eagle, giraffe, squirrel, kangaroo, and fish representing the sun signs. However, this time I am going to pay more attention and give details on the chimpanzee sun sign.

Chimpanzee is a species of great ape. According to the myth, it was a chimpanzee which saved the two royal children who were kidnapped by a conceited king. Chimpanzee people or Chimpans are very tough and love adventure. They are generous, hard-working, and energetic as well. It is good to have Chimpans around because they usually know how to light up the mood as they are fun and outgoing. Chimpans are also passionate towards their loved ones. They can be very protective yet very loving towards them. A silent or quiet room with a lot of people usually has been the target for chimpans to show themselves. They are very confident and seek attention easily, so when they get into a silent room or a group, they will be the one who change the whole mood and people will pay attention on them a lot.

On the contrast, a brokenheart or an angry chimpan can be not nice or sort of rude. They are attempted to be stubborn and sometimes selfish. What Chimpans want, Chimpans usually get. That statement is actually true, but since that cannot happen everytime, they get freak out or upset when they do not get things they want. It is probably related to their hard-working and passionate personalities. Hence, when they have worked hard for something but still cannot get it, they get upset. Inspite all of those, they are emotionally fragile, it is hard for them to hide their feelings. They get their hearts touched easily.

Bright future and big dreams are always well planned by Chimpans. They are usually successfull people with money and fame. They always want to do something useful in their life. The best match or partner for a chimpan is usually the giraffe, kangaroo, or a dragon. Those other sun signs are great match because they are also hard workers and believed know how to handle chimpans' temper. Perfect match here does not only mean in a "working" part yet also in the love life part. Chimpans are loyal to their partners. However, when chimpans get betrayed or vice versa, the relationship can be very ugly or ruined.

Each sun signs have their own lucky colour, numbers, stone, day, even place that they believe can get them a good effect to their lives. Blue is Chimpans' primary lucky colour. The lucky stone is usually has the same colour as their lucky one which is aquamarine or a diamond. They are also called as birthstones. 31, 8, and 11 which happened to be Chimpans' lucky numbers are believed to bring many luck if they involve those numbers a lot in their lives. Thursday is their lucky day. Finally, the perfect place where Chimpans can get their success mostly are the large cities.
