The Reverse-Spell Stick - Chapter 2

The Zeeta Couple have been fighting and arguing a lot since then.  Prince Morden was taken care by Queen Bev alone. The following two days,  people were getting so curious on seeing their new prince. King Heneli finally came to Queen Bev and told her the decision he had made.

“ I do not want anyone to see him. I have been thinking about it and here is my decision. We are going to tell everyone that he died at birth and we had already buried him. We are going to keep and hide him in his room until he turns 10. After that,  I am going to move him to live alone in Vadrov Island. Hence, nobody will ever notice him and we will not be worried about hiding him anymore.” beckoned King Heneli as he sat by the Queen.

“ There is no way I am going to let you to do that. Are you serious Heneli ? You are going to lie to people about your son and it will be about death? And you want to leave your own son alone in such an abandoned island at the age of 10? Be serious for once.” replied Queen Bev angrily as he held Prince Morden close in her arms.

“ Bev, this has been my final decision. Like it or not, it is going to happen. I am the King here. I rule everything even my family. I am not going to argue with you anymore. You can show him love and teach him things before he turns 10.” said King Heneli strictly.

“ I do not know what has gotten into you Heneli. I will just pray to God that he will eventually open up your eyes and change your mind.” cried Queen Bev.
“ Whatever Bev, this is for our own good and you will thank me someday.” replied King Heneli as he left the room.

Queen Bev was left alone with Prince Morden as she cried and hugged him tightly. She could not believe that someday she would not be able to hug him that way anymore. She just wished she could keep him forever. However, she knew that she could not do anything againts King Heneli’s commands and rules. She was going to show Prince Morden love as much as she could.

Meanwhile, in Zildez Castle. King George and Queen Lorsa were celebrating their newborn girl, Princess Cataleya.

“ We made it honey, we made it.” said King George as he kissed Princess Cataleya’s forehead.

“ She is so beautiful honey, she is going to be a very nice and educated young lady.” told Queen Lorsa.

“ I can not believe that the Zeeta couple can not feel the happiness we do. I feel so bad and pity for them.” replied King George remembering the call he got from King Heneli two days before about Prince Morden’s death.

“ Yes, I am so grateful that we have been given a beautiful girl and a lovely family.” answered Queen Lorsa.

“ I know honey, I know.” said King George as he hugged both his Queen and Princess.
The time flies and Prince Morden had turned 4. King Heneli would not want to spend time with him or play with him. He even had never seen outside. He was kept in his room all the time accompanied by Queen Bev.

“ Mommy, when can I go and play outside and see the real trains ?” asked Prince Morden as he was playing with his train toys..

“ Someday you will baby, when the time comes, I will let you go and play outside.” answered Queen Bev kissing his forehead. She was crying inside. She still did not get why her son had to be treated differently.
King Heneli came into the room and sat in the corner looking at both of them. He hated seeing Queen Bev spent her days frowning and sad all the time. He knew he was mean but he believed that it was going to be done for their own good.  His short daydream was intterupted by a tiny hand tugging on his pants.

“Hi Daddy, come play with me! Mommy gave me a new set of train. You can be the train and I can be the gate.” told Prince Morden giving his father a small toy train.

“ I am not into these kind of things. Go play by your self!” yelled King Heneli as he stood up and left little Prince Morden alone.
Prince Morden ran to his mother frowning and sniffling. Queen Bev held him close and kissed his cheeks.

“ Why does Daddy hate me, Mommy? Am I a bad boy?” asked the Prince innocently.
Queen Bev’s heart was tugged at this and she said “ He does not hate you baby. He is just too caught up with his work and tired. Let him rest yeah ? We both love you so much baby and you are not a bad boy. You are mommy’s good boy.”

“ Okay Mommy. I love you and Daddy too.”  told Prince Morden as he was leaning on his mother’s chest.

Queen Bev had to raise her son alone. She taught him so many things because she wanted to make sure that he would be ready to be left alone someday. Prince Morden was growing up into a wise and kind little boy. He was not like normal boy at his age. At the age of 8, he knew how to fix things, made a fire, stitched clothes, washed clothes and so on. Queen Bev was so proud of him and could not believe that he was going to leave soon.

Finally, the dreading year had came. Prince Morden turned 10. Queen Bev had been trying to convince her husband not to do his will. She begged him so much that she cried for days but yet King Heneli was being cruel and ignored her. Once when Prince Morden was reading in his room, he was called by his father.

“ Morden! Morden! Come downstairs this instant! I have something important to tell you.” yelled King Heneli loudly.

“ Coming father.” answered the prince politely as he dragged himself downstairs quickly.

Downstairs, he was met by a crying Queen Bev sitting on the floor and an angry King Heneli standing up beside the couch. Prince Morden walked up slowly to them.

“ I know that you must be waiting for the time to go outside. Now, the time has come. You are free to go. You are to go to this Vadrov Island and live by yourself. You are old enough to take care of your self. Do not tell anyone that you are a Heneli. Tell them you do not have a last name. Good news, the island is unhabited. Hence you can live in it and it is all yours. Do not come back to this castle. Ever. Do you understand me young man?” explained the King.

" But father....

  1. Good story and I'm so curious about the king. Poor little prince though. You're grammar is great and you just made a slight mistake such as an angry king Beneli, I prefer if you replace it with the angry king Beneli and in the last paragraph there is a sentence 'you are to go to', I think it will be better if you add a word 'about' and becomes 'you are about to go to...'
